To bid you must have a bidder’s number: to acquire a bidder’s number you

must pay a R5000.00 refundable deposit, have your ID and Proof of Residence.

Goods are sold subject to:

  1. 15 % Value Added Tax
  2. 10% + (15%) Vat Buyers Premium
  3. R2500-00 + (15%) Vat per Item – Where document fee is applicable on current licensed vehicles, tractors and construction equipment.
  4. Cash transactions will be subject to a 5% + Vat Handling fee.

Lots may be added or withdrawn at any time before or during the auction without providing reasons.

The buyer shall be the highest bidder. If a dispute arise the lot will be auctioned again and the highest bidder will then be declared.

Lots may be grouped and divided at the discretion of the auctioneer. Provided the buyers have no objection.

The order and sequence may be changed at the discretion of the auctioneer. Provided the buyers have no objection.

The auctioneer demands the right to demand payment from the buyer once the bid has been knocked down to him. Payment must be done in EFT not later than the end of business on the day of the auction.

No goods will be released without proof and verification of payment.

Should you disappear after bidding and before payment the goods you bought will be put up for sale to another buyer at the same price achieved at the auction. You will also forfeit your Deposit.

Goods are sold “Voetstoots” and no claims will be considered By the Auctioneer or the Dr Beyers Naude Local Municipality by virtue of incorrect description, quantity, inferior quality, condition, or any other ground whatsoever. No guarantees will be given in this regard. Prospective buyers are therefore advised to inspect the lots or have the goods inspected before an offer is made. A bid shall be taken as proof that the bidder has acquainted him/herself with the condition of lots for which he/she bids.

As soon as a lot has been knocked down on a registered buyer, the ownership of the goods sold and risk shall pass to the buyer as soon as payment for the purchase has been received, no complaints will be considered thereafter.

Lots purchased may be removed at a time determined by the Auctioneer and the official representing the Dr Beyers Naude Local Municipality, only on producing the sales slip/invoice signed and or marked paid in full.

All lots must be removed “In Toto” within 7 days of the date of the auction. Removal is at the buyer’s risk and own cost.

If the buyer fails to remove the goods in the specified time, the seller has the right to without further communication, confiscate and dispose of the goods as it may deem fit, without reimbursement to the buyer.

Buyers or their representatives may supervise the loading of their lot or lost, but it must be distinctly understood that no complaints will be entertained after each lot has been knocked down.

The Seller nor the Auctioneer is under any obligation to provide assistance with the loading or removal of goods purchased.

Buyers and their workmen, vehicles will be allowed onto the premises of the seller at their own risk. The seller accepts no responsibility for their safety or for the safety of their property.
